Eremurus spectabilis M. Bieb, a perennial herbaceous wild species, is commonly used in the horticultural, ornamental, and pharmaceutical markets. Studies on tissue culture systems for this species would be beneficial mass multiplication as well future breeding programs. An vitro propagation technique was established here using tuberous root explants unique responsive starting materials initiation. The proliferated calli were sub-cultured shoot proliferation media regenerated microshoots assessed. rate, leaf number, length, chlorophyll carotenoid contents recorded. highest callus induction per explant (76.67%), dry weight (10.25 mg), firmness ratio (3.97), color intensity (2.83) observed inoculated Murashige Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 10.0 mgL−1 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP). rates obtained when MS or Schenk Hildebrandt (SH) basal 2.0 BAP. half-strength fortified 4.0% sucrose + indole butyric acid (IBA) 200 activated charcoal superior combination emergence rooting parameters. Regenerated plantlets then successfully adapted to ex conditions. reported protocol can exploited at commercial scale following minor modification, could production of secondary metabolites bioreactors where required fresh plant material.
